I will update more during 2010, promise! 2009 was a horrid year, and very very busy so didn't have that much time to blog or anything really.
Let's hope 2010 is a better year for everyone, because it seems that 2009 was crap for a lot of people! :(
I have to say though....2010 so far has been horrid. I've lost 3 people I know or am related to so far this year and we are only a week in, and last year 3 people also. :(
I hope things get better soon!
Plans for this year:
- Get my little business really off the ground and bringing in a bit more of an income.
- Get my degree
- Get a little more financially stable and secure
- Don't stress out so much over the little things, and concentrate on the bigger picture
- Find myself again! (I have been thinking about this one a LOT lately, and I feel during last year with everything that went on, I really lost myself and I seem to forgotten who I am - I can just about remember my own name though, so all is not lost yet. LOL)
- Be more frugal. I am already working on this one and so far doing quite well!
- Try something new at least once a month, whether it be a new food, acitivity, or whatever, just something new :)
- Don't let myself be used as a doormat, enough is enough now.
I'm sure I'll think of more!!
I will blog about Christmas another time, it wasn't the greatest this year, but it still was okay I guess. the main thing is that the little one enjoyed himself! :)
Oh, and on a sidenote - Pamela over at design85.com has a giveaway on a Victoria's Secret grab-bag; so I suggest you get your butt over there pronto and enter!! You can win FIVE tanks from the PINK! Essential tanks rang, and in addition you will also recieve a suprise PINK! beauty bag filled with bath goodies!!!! the tanks will be in random colours, and contest entry is running until January 15th, 2010 - so you still have time! AND! She will ship anywhere! Go on, it'd be rude not to! LOL
The rules and entry requirements are as follows:
* Leave a comment on Pam's website with your size
* Follow Pam on twitter & leave your twitter name in my comments
* Retweet the following on your twitter & leave the tweet url:
@Pam_Del is having a giveaway for Victoria’s Secret goodies!! http://tinyurl.com/y9zoe6u
* Blog about the contest on your blog & leave a comment with the post url
:)
Will post again later tonight, or tomorrow. I have to go to the store now and get something for supper. Tuna mayo jacket potatoes methinks. nom nom nom! If I don't fall over on the ice en-route! LOL
Oh and if anyone plays Second Life, I will be DJing at Fang's Nest tonight 3-5pm SL Time, that's 11pm-1am GMT; so if you wanna, come along and listen to my set, don't be shy! :)

Robert's birthday was lovely, he got tons of stuff and really enjoyed himself! Although I have to admit I did not enjoy baking SIXTY cupcakes and frosting thirty of those, to make them look like ice creams in cones. He took them to pre-school to share with his little classmates. When we picked him up from pre-school I found out that the teachers had bought him a big birthday cake and they had that at snack time with candles on too which was really sweet of them to do that!
At lunchtime we picked Robert up, and took him out to lunch (he specifically asked for Chinese Buffet), which he really enjoyed and then we took him to the cinema (his first time ever) and saw the film "Up". OMG sooo funny but at the same time very sad in places - must admit I shed a good few tears. The doberman with the mangled collar cracks me up though LOL!
Robert sat okay in the cinema, after a bit of messing about. The first half hour or so consisted of constant "Mummy I need a weewee", which I knew he didn't, because he went right before we went into the screening. He didn't like the seats because they are flip-down - he perched on the edge of one and was shifting himself back onto it, I guess his weight wasnt enough to hold it down, and it flipped up; leaving a very sandiwched squawking Robert trapped hahaha. He soon got over it though he gave the seat a good kick and told it off and then he was fine. Oohh and he LOVES the popcorn, apparently it tastes different because it's from a special cinema machine!? :)
I left most of his present-opening until we got home from cinema, because I didn't want any tantrums before pre-school or going out....if he gets even the slightest bit agitated for whatever reason he is an absoloute nightmare when we go into town and will lay on the floor every two steps :| Hopefully just a phase, we are overcoming that slowly........
For presents he got:
From Grandad:
Argos gift voucher (which he spent on a Ben10 dressup costume, a keyboard and a mega crafting set)
From Nanna & Papa:
2 shirts & money (which was used to get him 2 pairs pyjamas and a Ben10 robe)
From Auntie Fifi:
Magic painting set
From Grandma:
Smart Kitchen set, money and DVDs
From Chris & Myself:
Ben10 Alienforce Nightlight/torch/alien projector
Hotwheels smash set
Hotwheels car set
Bench beanie hat & scarf
3 pairs jeans
Giant beanbag
H.M. Armed Forces: R.A.F Falcons Parachutist Figure
Someone asked me what I was buying for him for xmas the other day and I told them to give me a bloody chance to recover from his bday for crying out loud - I understand if people do their xmas shopping for the next yr in the January sales and that is all good if you have the room to keep the stuff til then, and it saves a ton of money; but I don't understand people who start xmas shopping in like July, Aug and stuff like that. Mentalists. I don;'t like to leave mine til last min but like end of nov or beginning of dec is plenty enough time for me!
Saying that I have no idea what to get people this year so I might just make stuff. Maybe bung together some gift baskets. Bubble baths and loations and stuff always seem well appreciated for the ladies and for the men different flavoured coffees, biscuits chocolates and stuff they can pig out on. And it's cheaper too! woop woop
My laptop's about to die on me and I have to go food shopping, if numbnuts will actually get out of bed that it lazy swine. Post more later if I have the time

Starting fresh.
Summer was okay, not much to write home about really. Did a few things during the summer holidays - just day-trips really. Went to a children's farm which was great, little one really enjoyed himself! We also went to the fair and I didn't think that little one would brave the rides; but to my suprise he did! We went on the runaway train (like a mini rollercoaster that goes forwards and backwards) a gazillion times, and the little hot air balloon thing.... the rest of the kiddie rides he went on all by himself. Oh, except the spinning teacups. I went on one of the big rides and when I got off I couldn't see littleun or my Grandmother so I was getting a bit worried. Then I turned around and much to my amusement, my Grandmother was sat in a little teacup with mini me HAHA. But all in all; summer went super-fast this year - where the hell did August go!? I seemed to have blinked and it was all over!? Little boo started nursery and he's loving it! He's really coming along leaps and bounds :D
I've started an online course - hopefully I'll have a degree at the end of it all, and then hopefully hopefully I'll be able to get a much better paid job! (Maybe the job thing's just wishful thinking; especially with the current economy/job crisis state, but I can only try, right!?)
I love this time of year. I love autumn. There's so much about it that I love....
- The smell of the air
- The weather cooling down (but not too cold!)
- The colours of the leaves - jumping in piles of leaves!!!! woohoooo I can't wait for leaf-jumping - if we have the time that is!
- Conkers!
- Apple-picking
- Duvet and DVD days snuggle up on sofa with little boo when the weather is yuck
- The gradual build-up to and excitement of Christmas (although I wasn't at all amused when I saw my local supermarket was already stocking xmas candies and stuff onto their shelves LAST WEEK. That's too damn early in my opinion. Seeing stuff this early; everyone gets used to it and then of course it loses its fun really ;/ )
- Halloween!!!!
- And of course....the most important event of all....LITTLE BOO'S 4TH BIRTHDAY!!!! Scary how fast time goes!
Hmm what else....
I've been reading tons lately. I seem to go through phases of non-stop bookwormage for a few months; then I can't stand the sight of them for about 6 months. Then it all starts over! Although saying that, this year I have read quite a few books (well for me anyways):
Scar Tissue - Anthony Kiedis
My Booky Wook - Russell Brand
Extreme: My Autobiography - Sharon Osbourne
Survivor - Sharon Osbourne
The Lady In Blue - Javier Sierra
Bumps - Zoe Barnes
The Rise and Fall of a Yummy Mummy - Polly williams
Bed Rest - Sarah Bilston
The Devil Wears Prada - Lauren Weisberger
Everyone Worth Knowing - Lauren Weisberger
How To Kill Your Husband (And Other Handy Household Hints) - Kathy Lette
Detox Your Finances: The Ultimate Book Of Money Matters For Women - Justine Trueman
Being Jordan - Katie Price
Jordan: A Whole New World - Katie Price
I've read a few more, but they couldn't have been that great because I've forgotten what they were! Or maybe I'm just going senile. LOL
Nothing much else to report lately. Haven't been feeling too great in myself, just horrid really. Loads of stomach problems again which hurt a LOT and make me super-tired all the damn time; yet I have trouble sleeping. That sucks bad but hopefully it will improve soon....it has to! Fingers crossed.

It's Been Quite a While....

music: Duffy - Mercy
Not a whole lot has been happening lately; I've been sick mostly - it seems like forever since I've felt good health-wise and it sucks! I've had pleurisy and bronchitis over and over - as soon as I've recovered from one bout of it I just seem to get another load of it right away! UGH.
Bobby is doing well; his speech seems to be coming along a LOT more now; although I am STILL waiting to hear from the audiologist for his next hearing appointment to see what they may do in terms of his hearing. He's got a condition called glue ear so it's very likely that gromits will be fitted. They said four months for the next hearing test; but so far I've been waiting quite a while longer than that so I called them the other week and asked where on the waiting list are we and they said March. Well March is almost over now so I guess they were full of crap as usual! They really are terrible - the health visitor first referred Bobby when he was 4 months old and we waited like til he was almost 2 for his first appointment! I knew waiting lists were long on the NHS; but that long is terrible!
In January I went to the hospital finally to see the gynaecologist to have some more tests and things and I've gotta go back on April 15th for an ultrasound and some other tests to see what else is going on and if there's any chance of having another baby. I'm not too optimistic about it though. So far they've found amongst other things that my womb's tilted to the left; they said probably from the difficult birth I had with Bobby. Who knows though. We will see what happens it's just a waiting game now I guess....
I think more than anything if I can't have any more babies; I feel I'm letting down the family; especially Chris (my partner) and also Bobby.
One friend I was talking to about it said that I was being very selfish because I should be appreciating Bobby and I already have one child so just be happy with that and get on with life. Ok I see where she was coming from and yes I do feel selfish; but it doesn't stop my maternal urges and feelings. I'd LOVE to have more than one child. And yes I do appreciate Bobby; more than anything in the whole wide world - he's my little miracle; my world, my everything.
Time for some random pics methinks:
( Click here to see the piccies )

(Morning snuggles Bobby doing his lil ole man impression haha)

You want rice wi'dat son!? (No I don't usually look like a freak but we were having a few too many New yr drinks)

Drunken New Yrs = Me + Shaz = BFF's <3
So hmm what else? Oh yes I've discovered playlist.com it's so cool! So here listen to my fave musics :P
I'm really liking Duffy's album, Rockferry at the moment. I've added some of her stuff to my playlist so go ahead n check it out below if ya want :)
Not much else going on, had a good day today and tomorrow we are going to Grandma's for Easter Monday dinner yumyum

Christmas!!!!

sleepy
music: Kate Bush - This Woman's Work
I've been SO busy getting ready for Christmas that I've had no time to really post on here or even get near my compute for that matter. So now everything's a little calmer I'll tell all about our Christmas....
This year was a LITTLE less stressful because Grandma insisted that she cook Christmas dinner and we go to her house....Last Christmas pretty much sucked in many ways for reasons that I won't go into now as I don't care to go over crap memories but also last year Christmas day was held at our house and we cooked everything. So this year Grandma insisted on it being her turn to do everything as a) my year's been crappy in quite a few ways, b) I've not been at all well and in a LOT of pain so it was less worry for me incase I was having one of my bad days, and c) Grandma has a thing about taking turns!!!!
The only wish that I didn't get was that my baby sister could've spent it with us but that situation is not in my control....Apart from that it was THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!! My closest family around, FANTASTIC food, lots wine, and bonuses being lots lovely pressies and one happy toddler!!!!
We woke xmas morning and Robbie found his stocking from Santa hanging on his bedroom door handle so he got all excited when he saw Santa had left him a letter and a few presents inside of it. He came and sat in bed with Chris and I, and opened his pressies....
Then we got up and had some breakfast followed by photos of us by the tree (I'll add photos later on) and then present exchanging and opening and more photos
We headed over to Grandma's at 1:30pm and exchanged presents with her and opened them. Robbie opened just his smaller presents and then we ate the yummiest Christmas dinner EVER.
Roasted turkey stuffed with sage, onion and topped with cranberries, roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, peas, sweetcorn, carrots, turkey gravy, and my most favourite part of xmas dinner as always, savoury suet pudding yummmmmmmmmmm!!!! For dessert we ate Christmas pudding with non-dairy brandy butter and cream. We also found out this Christmas that Robbie goes CRAZY for Christmas pudding - he ate his, then some of mine and then polished off GRANDMA's too!!!! Little Piggy!!!! hehehehe
Then after lunch, Robbie was allowed to open his last present which was the BIG one from Grandma - a sit-on pedal mini JCB - it scoops dirt and everything and he even got a little yellow hard-hat with it!!!! It's SO CUTE - he says "Bob, Bob, Bob" because he thinks he's Bob the Builder now. LMAO!!!!
Robbie loves crackers too - when they go bang when pulled he shouts "BONG!BONG!" haha He calls them "Cwockkorrrrzz" It's so cute it's untrue!!!!
We stayed at Grandma's for tea also - she cooked a ton of party nibbly foods - I let Robbie choose what he wanted to nibble on and he chose an onion bhaji of all things - they were even too spicy for me! The store must have put like 2 pots of chili powder in each one when they made them because usually I can eat SPICY, SPICY food and I couldn't even handle these damn things. Well Robbie shoved it in his mouth whole and his poor little face - his eyes were almost popping out of his head but he was saying "mmmm MMMmmm" and he actually LOVED them!!!! WTF. Afterwards I think his tongue went numb for a few mins because he kept sticking it out and twisting it about lol He was ok though after some water haha that child will eat ANYTHING.
Then we went home and relaxed and on boxing day, I cooked.
Well I'm knackered right now so gonna go snuggle up with Chris and sleep.
Here's what we got for pressies

Can't Sleep AGAIN
Dec. 6th, 2007 | 03:00 am
mood:
awake
Saturday I'm going to see my nana in London - I haven't seen her for almost 2 years because she's been really sick and we've not had the dollar to even think about travelling and stuff so will be nice to see her. It's gonna be a suprise though so will be nice for her too. Can't wait to see her face!
i didn't know what to get her for Xmas so I ask my sister's dad and he says she likes some sweets called Raspberry Ruffles. Well I had no idea what they were so I asked my mumsy in law and she said you used to get them in Woolworths' but now can probably only get them from the market if you're lucky. So I'm hoping they have them in the market when I go after college tomorrow! Failing that i'll just have to buy some flowers on Saturday morning....
I hope dad wasn't joking about the sweets - because once he told me to buy her a garden gnome because she loves them so much - I then found out he was joking with me and she infact is freaked by them. Funny! NOT!
Just bought some Christmas presents on Monday and Tuesday - so far I've bought:
for my sis
Black Boob-tube style top/dress with a bolero jacket attatched to it from Republic
Dita Von Teese Calendar
for Chris
Chocolates for "old people" haha
for Grandma
Chocolates to help with "growing old" LOL
for Robert
Miniature toddler-sized real spanish acoustic guitar
"Pingu" snowglobe
White chenille-style polar bear (it's really massive too and all snuggly aah) wearing a velvety fluffy cream-coloured duffle coat
"The Snowman" piano scene on a stand that rotates and plays the theme tune from the snowman film when you wind it up
Fibre-optic "The Snowman" Christmas stocking that lights up when you press the button (all the stars and the windows in the houses twinkle it's really cute)
Doctor play-set
Opposites flash-cards
Pairs matching cards
That's all I've bought so far - I still have to get Chris and Grandma's main presents(the chocolates are little joke presents), and then other presents for dad, my best friends, Robert's little girlfriend, my other mate's baby, my nana, and 3 friends from college. And then ontop of that, one of my best friends is due to have her son on Jan 8th but it's looking like he's not going to stay in her until then!!!! So I also have to get a birth present for him and one for the mummy to be.
Not sure yet what I'm going to buy mummy to be; she's wanting a cat net for the moses basket but I'm also gonna get maybe an outfit for baby and then something for my friend maybe one of those little Champney's bath sets so she can have some nice baths when she gets a spare hour - she's gonna need it!
I should try going back to bed and getting some sleep now because I have college at 9am
